Plans & billing

Binda is free for caregivers, family, and doctors. The family coordinator pays for the care plan — and can start with a free trial and cancel any time.

The plans

The coordinator picks a plan that fits how many caregivers and care recipients are involved. Everyone else is invited in for free.

  • Starter — free. One caregiver, basic contract agreements. Medication tracking is not included — it unlocks in Essential.
  • Essential — one caregiver, a single care plan, all features including medication tracking and contracts.
  • Care — multiple caregivers (up to five), a single care plan, all features, more storage and recording minutes.
  • Family — households with more than one person to care for: up to three care recipients (for example a parent and a parent-in-law), unlimited caregivers, the full team.

Caregivers who bring their own clients may qualify for Caregiver Pro — see For caregivers.

For current prices, open Settings → Plan in the app or visit binda.health/pricing. Choose monthly or annual billing — annual is 17–20% cheaper depending on the plan (roughly two months free). Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled any time.

The free trial

Paid plans include a 14-day free trial so you can set up a plan, invite your team, and try every feature before you’re charged. You won’t be billed until the trial ends, and you can cancel during the trial at no cost.

First, where did you subscribe?

How you manage or cancel your plan depends on where you started it. Binda supports three billing paths, and a plan is billed by exactly one of them:

  • Apple — you subscribed inside the app on an iPhone or iPad.
  • Google Play — you subscribed inside the app on an Android device.
  • Web (Stripe) — you subscribed in your browser at app.binda.health.
If you subscribed on your iPhone, Apple handles the billing — so you cancel through Apple, not through us. The same goes for Google Play. Only web subscriptions are managed directly in Binda’s billing portal.

Change or upgrade your plan

Need more caregivers, or a second care recipient? You can move up or down a tier:

  • Apple / Google Play — open your device’s subscription settings (see below), select Binda, and change the plan there.
  • Web — go to Settings → Plan in Binda and choose Manage subscription to switch tiers through the billing portal.

Cancel your subscription

On iPhone / iPad (Apple)

  1. Open Settings on your device and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Binda, then Cancel Subscription.

On Android (Google Play)

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions.
  3. Select Binda and tap Cancel subscription.

On the web (Stripe)

  1. Sign in at app.binda.health.
  2. Go to Settings → Plan and choose Manage subscription.
  3. In the billing portal, choose Cancel plan.
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for — your care data stays intact, and you can resubscribe any time.

Refunds

Because subscriptions are billed by Apple, Google, or Stripe, refunds follow their policies:

As is standard for subscriptions, we don’t pro-rate refunds for partial months, but if something went wrong, tell us — we’re reasonable people.

Redeem a complimentary code

Sometimes we hand out a code that puts a plan on us — for an early tester, a partner, or someone who’s been generous with their time. Redeeming one is quick, and it never asks for a card.

  1. Open app.binda.health in a web browser — Safari, Chrome, or whichever you use — and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Plan and tap Have a code?
  3. Type the code and confirm. Capitalisation doesn’t matter.

The code applies to the care plan, not to your device — so once it’s redeemed, everyone signs in to the upgraded plan on every device. Some codes run for a set number of months; some don’t expire at all. Whichever you have, you’ll see the plan change straight away.

Codes are redeemed on the website rather than in the app. Open app.binda.health in Safari, Chrome, or any browser, enter your code there, and then reopen the app — you’ll already be on the plan.

If you have more caregivers than your plan allows

Each plan includes a number of caregiver seats (Family is unlimited). If you invite more people than your plan covers, nothing stops working.

  • Going over starts a 14-day grace period. Everyone keeps full access, and we let the coordinator know.
  • At the end of it, the coordinator chooses: move up a plan, or pick which caregivers keep access.
  • Anyone not picked is paused, not removed — their history stays, and moving up a plan brings them straight back.
Caregivers can keep working the whole time. Binda will never decide who stops caring for someone, and a billing question never interrupts care.

Storage

Photos attached to notes, and documents you upload, count toward your plan’s storage. Binda shrinks every photo before it uploads, so a plan holds thousands of them rather than a few hundred.

  • Starter has no photo storage — attaching photos to notes is part of the paid plans.
  • Binda gives the coordinator a heads-up at 85% full, and again when the plan is full.
  • When it’s full, you can delete some photos or documents to make room, or move up to a plan with more space.
Running out of storage never deletes anything and never blocks care. It only stops new photos being attached until there’s room.

Billing FAQ

Do caregivers or family members have to pay?

No. Only the family coordinator pays. Caregivers, family, and doctors are invited to the plan for free.

Can I manage more than one care recipient?

Yes — the Family plan supports up to three care recipients in one household, such as a parent and a parent-in-law.

Will I be charged during the free trial?

No. You’re only charged when the 14-day trial ends, and you can cancel any time before then at no cost.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your care plan and its records stay in place. Cancelling only stops future billing; you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off.

I’m being charged but don’t see the features I expected.

Give it a minute and reopen the app so your subscription can sync. If it still looks wrong, email support@binda.health with the email on your account and we’ll sort it out.

Can I try Binda without creating an account?

Yes. Open app.binda.health/demo and you’ll land in a fully populated care circle of your own — no account, no card, nothing to install. Change anything you like; it’s a private copy that disappears about a day later.

I have a complimentary code — where do I enter it?

Open app.binda.health in a web browser such as Safari or Chrome and sign in, then go to Settings → Plan and tap Have a code? The code applies to the care plan, so once it’s redeemed your plan is upgraded on every device. See Redeem a complimentary code.

What happens if I invite more caregivers than my plan allows?

Nothing breaks. You get a 14-day grace period with everyone at full access, then you either move up a plan or choose who keeps access. Anyone not chosen is paused rather than removed, and comes back if you upgrade later. See Caregiver seats.
