The dementia care app for families
Binda is a care-coordination app with dementia support built in. Tell it the diagnosis and it offers suggested daily tasks and ten short guides — alongside the medications, notes, shifts and family updates that make a hard season easier to run together.
14 days free, no card. The demo is a real circle with a week of care already in it — no account needed.
What changes when you tell Binda it's dementia
When you set up a circle, Binda asks whether the person has a diagnosis that shapes their care. Say dementia or Alzheimer's and three things appear — none of them added for you, all of them one tap away.
- Suggested daily tasks. Checking doors and the stove before bed, offering a drink through the day, a calm wind-down routine — the tasks families tell us they wish they had written down sooner. Add the ones that fit; ignore the rest.
- Ten short guides. What to expect over time, communication that works, late-day confusion, wandering and safety, eating and drinking, bathing, sleep, when to call the doctor, and looking after yourself. Each is a minute's read, in plain language, from published guidance by the National Institute on Aging and the Alzheimer's Association.
- A check-in for you. Every ten days Binda asks how you are doing — privately, never shared with the circle — and points to respite, helplines and communities when things look hard.
And the everyday running of care
Dementia support sits on top of the product families use every day:
- Medications — the schedule, who gave what and when, a photo of the pill bottle.
- Notes and observations — mood, meals, sleep, mobility, and a plain AI summary of the week for anyone who missed it.
- Shifts, hours and expenses — for paid caregivers and for family who log their own time.
- Doctors and appointments — one list, with a calendar your phone can subscribe to.
- The family feed — a calm, shareable version for the relatives who want to know how Mom is, without the clinical detail.
- Invite anyone — siblings, a paid caregiver, a respite worker for the weekend, the doctor — each seeing exactly what you decide.
Binda was built by a family caregiver who lived the coordination problem: the group text that never quite said who was doing what. The name comes from a family name, Binder, and the idea of a binder that holds everything together.
Why we built it
Questions families ask
- Is it free to try? Yes — 14 days, no card, on the web or in the app. There is also a free plan for small circles.
- Who can I invite? Family, paid caregivers, respite workers, doctors. Caregivers, family members and doctors never pay; the person coordinating the care does.
- Is my family's information private? Each circle is sealed from every other. What each person can see is set by you, section by section. Nothing in Binda is used for advertising.
- Does it replace the doctor or a care navigator? No. Binda is a coordination tool. It helps your family keep the plan moving between appointments; it is not medical advice.
